In May 2015 Jonathan graduated from the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music with a Bachelor of Music Education. During his time at Wheaton, Jonathan performed as a soloist in Mozart’s Requiem, Handel’s Dixit Dominus, and as an understudy for Haydn’s Creation conducted by Maestro John Nelson. He also served as an honors conductor for the Wheaton College Concert Choir, organized and conducted a student performance of Schubert’s Mass in G Major, and was selected from over two hundred applicants to compete as one of nine semi-finalists in the National ACDA Undergraduate Conducting Competition. After graduation, Jonathan taught choral music at Lake Zurich High School (Lake Zurich, Illinois) and Palombi Middle School (Lake Villa, Illinois). He currently teaches choir, drama, and general music at Millburn Middle School (Lindenhurst, Illinois). In August 2022 Jonathan will graduate with a Masters in Choral Conducting from Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa. Jonathan has two sons, Rainen and Osher, and lives in Waukegan, Illinois.
