Jennifer Gingrich studied voice at Northern Illinois University.  Upon graduation she began singing with Chicago Symphony Chorus and recently served as soprano section leader.  She has also performed with Grant Park Symphony Chorus, L’opera Piccola, New Classic Singers and Intimate Opera.

Her solo engagements include Kishwaukee Symphony and the Arts Center Jazz Ensemble.  Her roles include Sister Angelica in Suor Angelica, Paquette in Candide, Susannah in Susannah and Hanna in Merry Widow.  
In high school and college she won numerous awards including as finalist for the NIU Philharmonic Concerto Competition and first place with the National Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts.

In 2001 she founded An Octave Above, an-8 person a cappella ensemble known for their wide variety of styles.  They have performed all over the Chicagoland area.  Their talents have even taken them to Nebraska, Wisconsin and South Dakota. 
During the day she teaches private voice lessons at Naperville North High School.  The rest of her time is spent as a wife and mother of 2 and she wouldn’t have it any other way!
